Vedic Astrology is more than 5,000 years old and was part of the ancient India Vedas, holy scriptures of knowledge.  Vedic Astrology is also called Jyotish, science of light or the light of God.  It is the science of karma.  Karma is the spiritual principle of cause and effect, where the intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect).
 
Your natal/birth chart shows your karmic path for this lifetime.  It is a plateful of karma that you will face this lifetime, grow from, and be challenged by.  This is not all of the past good and bad karma that has been accumulated, just a portion of it.  Our ultimate goal is enlightenment and each person’s path will be different in moving towards that goal.
 
The map of your life is revealed at the moment of your birth.  The positions of the planets and stars at the moment of your birth describe your karma and what your experiences will be.  When done properly Vedic Astrology can give you clarity, peace, and self-understanding.

The Vedic astrology system uses the sidereal zodiac which calculates the planets' positions based on where they actually are in the sky, in relationship to the fixed stars which form the constellations. The difference is that the Western system uses the tropical zodiac which is based on the seasons. 2,000 years ago, the signs and the constellations were in the same position. Due to the wobbling of the earth on its axis, the North star is no longer where it was 2,000 years ago. This is known as the Precession of the Equinoxes.  So now, Western astrology is 23 degrees off.

 General Tips Regarding Colors

1. If you are feeling low in energy and vitality, you should consider wearing red dresses, applying red nail polish, etc.
2. If you are feeling depressed and aloof, you should avoid wearing blue or black around your neck or on your head.
3. If you are anxious or suffering from high BP issues, wear something white around your neck or on your head. It can be clothes or accessories to keep things calm for you.
4. On the days you are feeling nervous, consider wearing green.
5. If you are troubled while going to bed or sleeping, put a purple pillowcase underneath your head.
6. If you are quarrelsome and angry then avoid wearing reds around your neckline or on your head.
7. If you are feeling too lazy and lethargic then avoid wearing black or blue on the upper part of your body.
